Watch the new Video!

AWESOME!

He said I was in my early forties
with a lot of life before me
when a moment came that stopped me on a dime
and I spent most of the next days
looking at the x-rays
Talking bout the options
and talking bout sweet time
I asked him when it sank in
that this might really be the real end
how's it hit you when you get that kinda news
man what'd you do

and he said
I went sky diving
I went Rocky Mountain climbing
I went 2.7 seconds on a bull named BluManchu
and I loved deeper and I spoke sweeter
and I gave forgiveness I'd been denying
and he said someday I hope you get the chance
to live like you were dying.

He said I was finally the husband
that most the time I wasn't
and I became a friend a friend would like to have
and all the sudden going fishin
wasn't such an imposition
and I went three times that year I lost my dad
well I finally read the good book
and I took a good long hard look
at what I'd do if I could do it all again

and then
I went sky diving
I went Rocky Mountain climbing
I went 2.7 seconds on a bull named BluManchu
and I loved deeper and I spoke sweeter
and I gave forgiveness I'd been denying
and he said someday I hope you get the chance
to live like you were dying.

Like tomorrow was a gift and you got eternity to think about
what'd you do with it what did you do with it
what did I do with it
what would I do with it'

Sky diving
I went Rocky Mountain climbing
I went 2.7 seconds on a bull named BluManchu
and then I loved deeper and I spoke sweeter
and I watched an eagle as it was flying
and he said someday I hope you get the chance
to live like you were dying.
To live like you were dying
To live like you were dying
To live like you were dying
To live like you were dying

"Who Are They?"

They say not to have too much fun
They say not to get too much sun
Democrat, Republican
I guess I'm screwed, I'm neither one
Don't say 'hell', say 'what the heck'
Do what's politically correct
Don't pray in school, but have safe sex
Isn't that what they expect?

Who are they?
Yeah you know what they say
Who are they?
Someone I gotta pay
Who are they?
They're probably living in LA
And I don't care anyway
Who are they?

They probably own the Village Voice
The Nashville Scene, The People's Choice
To me it's all a bunch of noise
Decided on by funny boys
They say who does and don't belong
They say our hair's too short or long
They say who's right and who is wrong
As if we'll all just come along

Who are they?
Yeah you know what they say
Who are they?
Someone I gotta pay
Who are they?
They're probably living in LA
And I don't care anyway
Who are they?

Well I wonder if they've got a life
A broken car and two ex-wives
Do they drink beer on Friday night
I wonder if they like to fight
And I wonder if they've got a soul
Or if they like their rock-and-roll
Where do they live, I've got to know
So I can tell them off
Or where to go

Who are they?
Yeah you know what they say
Who are they?
Someone I gotta pay
Who are they?
They're probably living in LA
And I don't care anyway
Who are they?

Goodbye Grandpa Mcgraw [07 Jan 2004|11:28am]
PHILADELPHIA - Tug McGraw's family will honor him at a private memorial service Saturday.

McGraw, one of baseball's most colorful relievers, died Monday at age 59 after battling brain cancer. McGraw helped the New York Mets (news) and Philadelphia Phillies (news) win their first World Series (news - web sites) titles.

McGraw, the father of country music star Tim McGraw, was diagnosed with brain cancer last March.

The Phillies said Tuesday that McGraw's family requested that memorial contributions be sent to the Tug McGraw Foundation, with proceeds to be used for brain cancer research. Donations may be sent to the foundation at 191 Sheree Blvd., Suite 200, Exton, PA 19341.

My Next Thirty Years, my new theme song [04 Jan 2004|01:08pm]
I think I all take a moment, celebrate my age The ending of an era and the turning of a page Now itas time to focus in on where I go from here Lord have mercy on my next thirty years Hey my next thirty years Iam gonna have some fun Try to forget about all the crazy things Iave done Maybe now Iave conquered all my adolescent fears And Iall do it better in my next thirty years My next thirty years Iam gonna settle all the scores Cry a little less, laugh a little more Find a world of happiness without the hate and fear Figure out just what Iam doing here In my next thirty years Oh my next thirty years, Iam gonna watch my weight Eat a few more salads and not stay up so late Drink a little lemonade and not so many beers Maybe Iall remember my next thirty years My next thirty years will be the best years of my life Raise a little family and hang out with my wife Spend precious moments with the ones that I hold dear Make up for lost time here, In my next thirty years In my next thirty years
